THRACE, Hadrianopolis. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ (26mm, 9.52 g, 7h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Cybele, holding tympanum (drum) and scepter, reclining left on lion advancing right; behind lion to right, a Korybas advancing right, head left, holding shield and torch. Youroukova 570 (V248/R544); Varbanov 3797 (same die as illustration). Good VF, attractive green patina.
